Bosto 14WA Linux Drivers

I am one of the authors of a Linux driver for the second generation Bosto graphics tablets. These tablets were released around November 2013. Even though they are quite different internally from the first generation models, they still have the same model names: the 22HD and the 14WA.

There are currently two drivers. The original should work with both tablets but is more experimental and is more focused on the 22HD:

My own driver only works on the 14WA but should be slightly better for this tablet:

These drivers have been tested on Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04. They should work on other Linuxes with a v3 kernel but you'll probably have to follow the instructions on the github page for a manual install.

The 14WA driver includes a basic installer program written in Ruby. So the easiest way to get up and running is as follows:

1. Click here to install dependencies [1]
2. Copy this command with Ctrl-C: wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/lesliev/bosto_14wa/master/install_bosto_14wa -O -|ruby
3. Press Ctrl-Alt-T to open a terminal
4. Paste the command with Ctrl-Shift-V and press enter

[1] The dependencies are linux headers and a build system in order to compile the driver. Be patient, they are a around 75MB to download.
